Weed Me Inc. Product Recall
October 28, 2024
Weed Me Inc. recalled Ripped Zone In/Zone Out 28 x 0.5g Pre-Rolls for one lot as Weed Me Inc. received dried cannabis from their supplier with the incorrect certificate of analysis. This cannabis was used to produce the affected product, Ripped Zone In/Zone Out 28 x 0.5g Pre-Rolls.
The cannabis was not tested for microbial contaminants as specified by the Good Production Practices requirements of the ; Cannabis Regulations . The affected product may contain mould, yeast, or other microbial contaminants. The exposure to such contaminants may cause temporary adverse health consequences, but the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

What do I do with the stock I currently have?
Retailers who have purchased the affected product should remove the recalled products from store shelves and clearly mark the products as 'Do Not Sell – Recalled Product.' Set the product aside in a safe area of your storage space and contact the Alberta Cannabis Call Centre within the next 60 days to begin the return process. Please visit the return page for all required information before initiating a recall return. AGLC will issue a return shipping authorization or provide handling instructions.
What do I do if a customer brings in any recalled product?
Retailers must accept all recalled products regardless of the product packaging condition, and as long as some of the product remains. Retailers must provide a refund for recalled products whether the customer has a receipt or not. Retailers who have never carried this product are not required to provide refunds and may direct the customer to the location where the product was purchased. Returned product should also be set aside in a safe area of your storage space. To initiate a return please email albertacannabis@aglc.ca within 60 days to begin the return process. AGLC will issue you a return shipping authorization or provide handling instructions. The wholesale price will be refunded for the recalled product in your vault. MSRP price will follow at the end of the recall for product that is returned to the store from customers.

Culture Kizos Inc. has recalled Coterie Double-Infused Sour Apple Blunt Pre-rolls (1x1g) for one lot due to the affected product not meeting with certain microbial contaminant limits for bacteria as specified by the Good Production Practices requirements of the Cannabis Regulations .

iNaturally Organic Inc. Product Recall
June 5, 2024
iNaturally Organic Inc. has recalled Emprise CBN+CBD 50mg Softgels for three lots due to incorrect cannabinoid values on the product label. There is a presumed presence of hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), an intoxicating cannabinoid. Consumers are not aware of the intoxicating cannabinoid HHC in the product and may believe that the product contains no or little total THC based on the ‘lesser than’ sign used to denote the amount of total THC.

To date, iNaturally Organic Inc. has received two adverse reaction reports about these products, and Health Canada has received three adverse reaction reports and one complaint related to these products. AGLC has not received any complaints or adverse reaction reports for the recalled cannabis product lots.

April 27, 2023
Emblem Cannabis Corporation recalled Noon & Night Nitecaps (30 count) (Net weight: 6.3g) for four lots due to products being sold without market authorization (DIN) in Canada. The product contained melatonin, and the quantity (3mg) of melatonin qualifies the product as a “drug” under the Food and Drugs Act (Canada).

Peace Naturals Project Inc. has recalled one lot of Spinach Kiwi Lime Punch 10 x 0.35g Pre-Rolls due to incorrect cannabinoid values on the product label. The THC labeled is higher than the actual THC in the product, while total THC labeled is lower than the actual total THC in the product.
